Role Overview
As a Civil Site Manager, you will lead the on-site civil construction activities for new and upgraded highvoltage substations. You will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution while coordinating with contractors, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce Linxon’s safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant utility safety requirements along with laws and regulations.
- Identify risks and implement safe work methods around high-voltage equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and maintain safety documentation.
- Support audits and inspections from authorities and clients.
- Adhere to Quality & Environmental policies.
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead all civil construction activities from mobilization to energization.
- Plan, update, and track construction schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Supervise daily contractor activities, ensuring productivity and contractual compliance.
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and storage.
- Apply lessons learned from previous megaprojects to improve efficiency and quality.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients & contractors, EPC partners, engineers, and authorities.
- Lead site coordination meetings and report on progress, risks, quality, and resource needs.
- Manage subcontractor performance, including coaching and conflict resolution.
- Support project managers with reporting, change management, and participate in commercial matters.
- Ensure smooth coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or–related field.
- PMP certification (advantage).
- Trainings such as ESA, BASU/BASP, CPR, HLR, Hot Works, Work at Height are beneficial.
Experience
- 8+ years of civil construction experience in industrial projects, substations, or similar environments.
- Proven track record as a Site Manager leading multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Experience in large-scale industrial megaprojects.
- Strong knowledge of site logistics, civil works, and contractor management.
- Understanding of ABT04/ABT06 and Swedish construction practices.
Skills
- Proficiency with Revit, BIM360/ACC, and construction management tools.
- Strong documentation, scheduling, and site administration skills.
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
- B-category driving license.
